A large and very beautiful rose mandarin vase with very little wear to the gilding and the painted enamels. Great looking and very interesting scenes of the court life and palace scenes from ancient China. The vase got beautiful ruyi ears/handles which is very rare to see. I date this vase to mid 19th Century, probably 1840-1850 in the reign of Daoguang.

Checked with uv light, the vase has a filled and retouched chip to the top rim. It got big re-glued chip to the body. Part of the top edge of the re-glued chip has got retouch. Three hairlines starting from the chip. 1 going to the otherside of the vase, 1 on the middle of the chip and 1 going down from the chip. These hairlines does not impact much on the viewing of the vase. See pictures
