A vintage Chinese famille rose vase 1950-1970's #2991

A beautiful vase decorated with the love story between Zhang Yu and the Dragon King of the East's daughter. The calligraphy on the back originates from the famous Yuan Dynasty Chinese folk myth "Zhang Yu Boils the Sea" 张生煮海. A human scholar won three enchanted relics, forced the sea‑dragon king to submit and married his beloved underwater princess.
