Chinese Antique jar with large figure decoration, Tongzhi period, #1986

The jar is decorated in 360 degrees with bats and boys at play in a garden and figures riding on the mythical beast (Qilin), surrounded by more boys playing with lanterns and others holding a canopy with the characters of 'qilin delivering a worthy son' 麒麟送子

The enamel colors are thick and vibrant. This pattern is common in late Qing Dynasty but the decoration on this piece is in the top range and done with very high quality.

Wooden lid is included in the sale.

Late Qing Dynasty Tongzhi period. 

Condition: Checked with UV Lamp. The jar is in great condition. Wear and manufacturing flaws.
