On top of this there is elaborate gilding that have been added. The porcelain paste used for this basin is very white and shiny and its very thin potted. These types of basins with a rounded lip was made during the 18th C. China Trade era with the purpose to be\u003cspan style=\"background-color: initial; color: var(--text-color); text-align: initial;\"\u003e fitted into a side table top as an insert for holding washup water.
